Peter Chien Professor, Deapartment of Statistics Affiliated with Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering Peter Chien is professor in Statistics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His main research areas are statistical perspectives of popular puzzles, A/B testing (aka, statistical design for online experiments), and statistical machine learning, with applications to science, engineering, and the Internet. He is a Fellow of the American Statistical Association, and the recipient of a National Science Foundation Career Award. He has served on the editorial boards of Annals of Statistics, SIAM/ASA Journal of Uncertainty Quantification and other statistics journals. |
